Men’s Ministry | First Baptist Church of Cherokee, Oklahoma

In addition to leading out in many aspects of leadership and ongoing ministries of our church, the men’s ministry here at FBC includes the following activities:

Monthly Men’s Breakfast

Our Men’s Ministry gathers once a month on a Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for Men’s Breakfast. All men and their sons are invited to come! We share prayer requests, have a brief devotion, and have one of our men share about how God is working in his life. Men’s Calf Fry

Our Men’s Calf Fry is one of the largest men’s events in the state. It is held in March each year at the Alfalfa County Fairgrounds. The Calf Fry has been going strong for over 30 years. The purpose of the Calf Fry is to provide a place for men and boys to come and enjoy great food and fellowship while also hearing the good news about Jesus Christ. Each year over 300 men and boys attend.

Connect Groups

Men meet in Connect groups for three purposes: Look Back, Look Up, Look Forward. The idea is that we spend the first third of the time checking in with each other on how our walk has been the past week, then we spend the second third of the time looking up to God by reading scripture together and discussing it, then the final third we spend asking how we can help one another apply what we read in the Bible together.

Mondays at 8pm in the Confrence Room

Tuesdays at 8pm in the Youth Room

Fridays at 7am at Keith Smith’s House
