In addition to serving and participating in various parts of our church’s overall ministries, our women’s ministry includes:
Each year in the fall our ladies hold a nice dinner event with a spiritual emphasis.
Our 2020 banquet was held on October 6th and took on a very different and new format! We had a drive-thru where ladies could pick up their Blessings Bag and Meal-to-go, and then had our speakers speak live from our church and sent it out via livestream for ladies to enjoy.
The FBC “First Monday” women invited women of Alfalfa County to join us for a
drive thru “Blessing Bag” meal in lieu of our annual banquet. Door prizes were donated and randomly given out to those women that drove thru to pick up a meal. Farmers Table made the chicken salad for the croissants that were made by Macy at Macy Cakes here in Cherokee. Our local flower shop donated the Daisey’s that were used by Tamara Goeken to put the flowers in that made up part of the door prizes. Cookies with cute bees on them were donated and several other salads and literature were given to each participant.
Matt and LuSinda Spann, Missionaries from Enid, who spent 10 years in Madagascar, were the program from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. as a virtual streamed live. It was a wonderful evening sharing blessings with ladies from all over.
See you ALL next year at our October Annual Banquet.
On the first Monday of each month at noon, ladies of all ages gather in our fellowship hall for lunch, encouragement, and devotion.
